Gas Motor Scooters

There are Gas Motor Scooters For Just About Every Budget

Pick your price and you are sure to find lots of gas motor scooters that provide maximum fun. We are going to give you a glimpse of some cheap 49cc ones and bigger sporty motorbikes and mopeds and it is our hope you will not only discover some that fit into your lifestyle but inspire you to get out and have some great on and off road recreation.

We have been very impressed by the Cobra line of scooters, ranging from the 49cc Key West up to the Peirspeed Del Ray 150. The Del Ray is a new model and we love its sporty styling, aluminum wheels, and automatic CVT transmission. The air cooled 4-stroke engine is coupled with a fuel tank capacity of 1.72 gallons.

Cobra makes a TGB scooter that is a commuter vehicle doubling as a commercial delivery hauler. Whether you are going to use it to go to and from work or school or delivering pizzas, the 80 mpg fuel economy rate from its 151 cc engine is most appreciated. A lot of pizzerias are using them because of its large insulated box and optional heater delivery bag. There is even a large space on the back for a company logo to go on.

If you don't have very deep pockets then maybe you will be happy to know you can pick up a very nice Zooma 49cc motorized scooter for $100 or less. We saw a used one in pretty good shape for sale on an online auction site recently for that price. This is a two-stroke engine vehicle, which means it burns a mix of gas and oil.

On the down side we have heard consumer reports from quite a few parents complaining about motorized scooters for kids. These range from boys falling down and scraping their knees to getting a badly injured face with broken teeth and broken nose when a handlebar bolt broke on a 43cc Zooma scooter, sending the rider crashing into the pavement. These little machines may be small and inexpensive, but that doesn't mean you should ignore the need for safety precautions. Helmets and protective gear are important.
